About Dr. Sara Forsyth

Dr. Sara Forsyth completed her fellowship in Sport & Exercise Medicine at Allan McGavin Sport Medicine centre under the guidance of Dr. Jack Taunton.  Dr. Forsyth provides consultation for active individuals of all ages and abilities.  An accomplished triathlete herself, Sara has completed multiple marathons, Ironman and Half Ironman competitions. Dr. Forsyth works with varsity, provincial and national level athletes in a variety of sports including athletics, gymnastics, synchronized swimming, triathlon, cycling, and soccer. She is currently the team physician for the Canadian Women’s National Volleyball team, the UBC track & field team and is the Sport Medicine lead for the Vancouver Warriors National Lacrosse team.  She has also traveled with the Canadian Men’s National soccer team. Sara’s areas of interest include female athlete health, sport endocrinology, RED-S, endurance medicine and running and triathlete health.
